About:
Now in its 12th year, Polaron Day has become an established international forum that platforms the latest ideas in the theory of open quantum systems and its diverse applications. Covering advanced numerical methods, new conceptual frameworks and real-world problems, Polaron Day encourages the community - and especially the younger members of our community - to interact, collaborate and exchange ideas in a lively and informal setting. This year's edition will be held at Sorbonne Université (UPMC campus), right in the heart of Paris, and we look forward to welcoming you to the City of Lights in October 2024!
Format:
Following previous years, we endeavour to give time to as many speakers as possible, with preferrnce given to junior reserchers in the field. Talks should be 20 minutes in length, with 10 minutes for questions from the audience.
How to register:
In order to register, one needs to crete an account with SciencesConf and then fill in the webform - just hit the 'Register' link in the side panel and follow the steps :). In the spirit of all previous Polaron Days, there are no registration fees for the conference - however, we are unable to offer any support for travel and accomodation expenses.
Submitting an abstract:
Once you have created an account and registered, you should have access to a personal space through which you can depoist your talk title and abstract, as well as upload a PDF for inclusion in the conference programme.
